Vibeke Laastad (born 1983) is educated at MI and BI (Trondheim) and has worked more than 2 years as graphic designer at Form til fjells (Røros).

Christopher Ide studied graphic design at Akademie U5 in Munich, and book science, psychology and art history at Gutenberg-Universitet, Mainz. He worked more than 3 years as a graphic designer/art director at Solutions Branding and Design Companies, Munich. After that, he freelanced as a designer for two years. Christopher also worked one year for German publisher Verlag Herman Schmidt Mainz.

Peab are scandinavia’s largest construction and civil engineering company with a workforce of 15,000. We have the pleasure of supplying Peab Norway with branding and design.

Abelia is the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise’s sector for knowledge-based enteprises (of which Tank is also a member). We look forward to embarking on some exciting projects together in the coming months.

Morpol is the world’s largest processor of salmon products, and also has the largest sales and distribution of finished salmon products. The company has more than 3,000 employees in eight countries and had a turnover of around 340 million Euros in 2009. Based on the wish to strengthen their market position in other markets, Morpol have now established themselves at Oslo Stock Exchange. Tank will help with their positioning and the design of financial material.

Norsk VVS is a specialist magazine which covers energy and the environment, and considers itself to be the industry’s favourite magazine for the latest news within this field. Tank has given the magazine a new look and developed a flexible layout, taking into account the need for advertising space whilst also making the editorial content both clear and tidy. It’s been fun creating a non-traditional design solution for a serious and weighty specialist magazine — and to collaborate with a brave and engaged client. Long may it continue!

Tank Design’s work for Halvors fish products is an ideal execution of the current back-to-basics trend in food packaging. Here, the packaging is not used as a pushy marketing tool, embellished with colourful renditions of its contents and inflated text. Rather, it gives customers the reassuring opportunity to see exactly what they are getting. The clear-cut black and white design is unpretentious and credible while providing ample space for straightforward information about how the fish products need to be prepared.

The understated design perfectly reflects a new appreciation of how food should be presented and consumed in a mindful way. It is a uniquely intelligent and contemporary approach by a small, quality brand to target modern households with a traditional product – one that is not only appealing from a design perspective, but also lucrative as a retail success story in Norway.

Halvors Tradisjonsfisk has won a lot of awards earlier, both at home and abroad, latest Norsk Designråds Merket For God Design.

Pentawards is the first and only worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms. It is open to everybody in all countries who are associated with the creation and marketing of packaging. Packaging design from the world over created or brought out in 2009/10 will be judged by a likewise international jury that will select the winners in accordance with the creative quality of the work submitted.

Dvein is a spanish studio of illustrators, art directors and 3D animators consisting of Fernando Dominguez, Teo Guillem and Carlos Pardo. Their motion graphics work is a mixture of real and imaginary worlds, both conceptually and technically. The studio started out working for Kyle Cooper (Imaginary Forces), creating titles for Spider-Man 3 and more. Its international recognition, under the name Dvein, came through the creation of jobs like Diesel Liquid Space, and the creation of credits for some of the major festivals of digital art, such as OFFF, F5 and Tocame.

Oh Yeah Studio is a duo, Christina and Hans Christian. They met in school in Norway where they started collaborating (and became a couple), and doing their ‘thing’, making idealistic projects and explore new fields and have fun. The studio has had a natural development since it started as a hobby project- and into what it is today, a multidisciplinary design studio with two full-time designers.

Their style and technique is usually combined analogue and digital drawing and the images are often made up by few colors and abstract shapes. The fusion is interesting because the digital vector shapes are a contrast to the analogue drawings. Vectors give you perhaps a more designed feel, whereas the drawings evoke an expression of the ideological craftsmanship of the artist/illustrator, which is more about the creation of things.
