Tank Design

Simen (b. 1974) grew up in Vestli, Oslo. His education was from Westerdals School of Communication, the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design (Vancouver, Canada) and Laguna College of Art & Design (California).

Simen has worked freelance for several years, and has been employed by Tank Tromsø since 2005.

In 2006 and 2007 he won silver awards at the Sterk Reklame advertising design competition.

Vibeke Laastad (f. 83) is from Odda in Hordaland. She´s educated at MI and BI (Trondheim) and has worked more than 2 years as graphic designer at Form til fjells (Røros).

Vibeke has been working at Tank in Tromsø since August 2010.

Bernt (b. 1970) is from Tromsdalen. His education is from the School of Graphic Design (now Westerdals School of Communication) in Oslo. He was formerly employed at Kran and at Union Design.

Bernt has been employed by and a partner in Tank Design in Tromsø from its beginning in 2002. In addition to being a designer, he has the heavy burden of keeping track of numbers at the office.

Bjørn Viggo (b. 1967) was born in Alta and grew up in Tromsø. He is married to Marit and has three children. Education: from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (Oslo). He has been employed by and a partner in Tank since 1999. Bjørn Viggo started his career at Tank Oslo but later changed his focus to the Tromsø office.

Bjørn Viggo is a board member of Grafill, a Norwegian organisation for visual communication.

Espen (b. 1984) grew up at Rognan, Nordland. He has worked several years as a freelance designer with clients including Tank. He has worked full time at the Tromsø Office since january 2009.

Espen has been lead designer at the paper GRUS since they started in 2005. From 2007 to 2008 he worked as signmaker at Ivar Sandnes AS (Tromsø).

Jens (b. 1972) grew up in Hjelmås, Nordhordland. His education is from the University of Bergen (Media Science and TV Production) and the University of Tromsø (Computer Science and Creative Writing).

Jens has recieved several awards for both packaging design, visual identities, illustrations and websites.

In autumn of 2007 he released his novel, I, Ove Kvamme, from the publishing house Cappelen Damm.
