Høst
Norsk Jordforbedring AS (Norwegian Earth Improvement Ltd.) are specialists in waste management and the conversion of by-products into products for the green sector. The company needed both an identity and a name which could represent all areas of their activities and also be suitable for international marketing. Tank wanted to develop a name and identity to represent a company with great specialist knowledge and drive to innovate, and whose vision is “a living earth”.
We chose to give Høst a powerful, confident and stylish look, with clear contrast between masculine typography and an organic leaf. Both the name and the visual form were inspired by natural cycles and regeneration. We have also developed a the company’s strapline which is “verdien i avfall” (“valuable waste” for the international market), which can either stand alone or be read as an extension of the name, “Høst valuable waste”.
